Wilton Books is a new independent publishing house established to offer untapped talent of writers and illustrators an opportunity when entering some of the most successful commercial publishing companies in search of new titles. Its late founder, with 30 years’ experience on the other side, felt that there was room to help new authors and illustrators publish their work. Published on 22-06-2015, with nearly 50,000 publishing companies throughout the world operating in over three dozen languages, there are more and more talented people trying to gain access into this fine industry. The company is focused on developing and launching new authors who have the talent to succeed as a general-interest author.

Wilton Books also has a good history of strong stories that cater to older children, which makes them perfect for developing into books for children with illustrations. All publications are created to a high standard of design as well as storytelling, and all our products should be up there contending for literary and book design gongs. Publishing is also a collaborative process, and an extended network of freelance editors, proofreaders, illustrators, graphic designers, technical experts, and companies that help with distribution is relied upon to publish each title.

The publisher’s debut publications are its Lakeland Mysteries series – action-packed kids adventure books and children’s mystery books that take place in the Lake District. The series starring the Donaldson sisters, Mae and Isla, mixes mystery with logic, emotional insight, and a strong sense of place to produce engaging illustrated fiction for young readers.
