Textile Sector Skill Council TSC India for Textile Skill Development Training and Certification Programs

The Textile Sector Skill Council (TSC) is a premier industry-led organization dedicated to strengthening the textile skill development ecosystem in India. Established in 2014 under the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) and approved by the National Council for Vocational Education and Training (NCVET), TSC operates under the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE), Government of India. With a mission to build a highly skilled workforce, TSC focuses on developing standardized training, certification, and assessment frameworks across the entire textile value chain—from fibre to fabric, including spinning, weaving, processing, and handlooms.

As a leading authority in vocational training and certification for textiles, TSC plays a crucial role in defining industry skill standards and creating employment-ready professionals. The organization works closely with key stakeholders such as the Confederation of Indian Textile Industries (CITI), export promotion councils, textile research associations, and government bodies to develop National Occupational Standards (NOS). Through its extensive network of affiliated training centers, certified trainers, and accredited assessment agencies, TSC ensures high-quality training, skill validation, and certification aligned with industry requirements.

TSC has significantly contributed to the growth of the textile training and skill certification sector in India, with over 470+ training centers, thousands of certified trainers and assessors, and more than 3.5 lakh candidates trained and certified across the country. Its unique training approach integrates real-time industry exposure by conducting programs within textile mills and handloom clusters. This ensures that candidates gain practical skills and are fully prepared for employment, self-employment, and entrepreneurship opportunities in both domestic and global markets.
